Financial Planning

So how does it work?

It is always surprising how little thought many people have given to the things that mean the most to them.

Life has a habit of getting in the way and so the first, and most important, steps are:

  • A thorough assessment of the position your finances are currently in. We do this by completing our bespoke, in-house fact-finding process and collating paperwork relating to your current investments, insurances, mortgages and pensions. We also usually send off letters of authority to the relevant providers to make sure we haven’t missed anything.
  • Discuss, in some cases for the first real time, where your financial objectives and personal goals intersect. This allows us to determine which things you are on track for, which things we need to work on, and in which order.
  • We talk about your attitude to, and experience of, investment risk and how these align with your goals and objectives.
  • We then research, plan and, ultimately, present a recommendation that will help you achieve those goals and objectives.
  • Should you become a client, we will commit to reviewing and modifying that plan on an ongoing basis for you to have the best chance of success.
  • We will be available for questions relating to your portfolio or plan at any time as well as if you would like some insight into things like what’s happening with interest rates, inflation, property prices, political issues etc. etc.

By providing a framework to your planning, we can ensure you maximise tax efficiency and receive value for money from your investments.

*Please remember that the value of investments, and any income from them, can fall as well as rise and you could get back less than you invest.
